Co-Founder and Managing Partner

After starting his career as Investment Banker at Lazard, Clemens has been responsible for many successful M&A transactions and investments in the digital, technology, media and life science sectors. Prior to founding 4GC he led Hubert Burda Media’s groupwide M&A activities. Clemens acts as angel investor in tech based business models and serves as supervisory board member of digital & tech platform Outdooractive.

He studied economics in St. Gallen, Lausanne and Bangkok and has been active in the investment and M&A business for 17 years.

Co-Founder and Principal

Philipp worked for several years in the investment and M&A team of Hubert Burda Media Group in Munich. He started his career as M&A Advisor at goetzpartners Corporate Finance in Munich and Paris. He then moved to the investment side to join a mid-market buy & build vehicle of the Carlyle Group.

He studied economics in Munich and Vienna with a stopover in New York and has been working in the investment and M&A business for 9 years.

Co-Founder and Senior Associate

Thomas spent several years in the Investment and M&A team of Hubert Burda Media Group in Munich, where he previously completed a 2-year Management Graduate Program with rotations in New York and London. He started his career in private equity (Auctus Capital) and venture capital (Mountain Partners).

He studied technology and management oriented business administration at the Technical University of Munich and has been working in investment and M&A for 5 years.
